Stop posting daily. Post twice and study what worked.

The 'post daily' advice is a holdover from the 2019 algorithm. In 2026, two well-aimed posts per week beat seven generic ones, and here's the data behind why.

Most "post daily" advice was written when the LinkedIn and Instagram algorithms still rewarded raw frequency. They don't anymore.

What they reward now is engagement velocity in the first 60 minutes after publish. A post that earns 30 saves and 12 thoughtful comments in the first hour gets 10x the distribution of a post that earns 200 likes over a day.

Frequency without quality dilutes your average post performance, which lowers the floor on every future post. Two posts a week, each one studied, each one tied to a clear ICP and value prop, outperforms seven generic posts on every metric except output volume.

The exception: if you're under 1,000 followers and still finding your voice, post 4 5 times a week to gather signal. Once you have 20 posts, switch to 2 high-quality posts a week and double down on what worked.
